Cringletie House

150th Anniversary Celebrations: 12 November 2011

Welcome to Grand Lady Cringletie House

150 years ago the well-known Scottish Architect David Bryce completed the construction of the current Cringletie House.

Accordingly, Cringletie would like to welcome you on the 12 November 2011 to celebrate its 150 years of sustained beauty! Come along to our open house from 3pm until 6pm. For further information please contact enquiries@cringletie.com

Cringletie still stands, as it has done since 1861, in a beautiful location high up from the road between Eddleston and Peebles, surrounded by some 28 acres of grounds and gardens.

Since its construction, Cringletie has seen many inhabitants, some for only a short period, others for a considerable periods of time. However long their stay, all have regarded Cringletie with respect and dealt with the estate with the views of the proper “Estate Factor”.

It does therefore not come as a surprise that the current Cringletie House still exudes the same grandeur as it always did. Renovations and refurbishments have mostly been carried out in a very sympathetic way, maintaining the typical Bryce style.
