Dining in the Sutherland Room

The Sutherland Restaurant at Cringletie Hotel is open for Lunch from 12:30 to 2:30pm and Dinner from 6.30 to 9.00 pm, seven days a week. As one of the top Peebles Restaurants it is open to both residents and non-residents. A variety of menus are available including an excellent value lunch menu, dinner menu and Chef Patrick Bardoulet's wonderful gourmet tasting menu.

The extensive table d’hôte menu changes with the seasons, using the finest local produce so that the cooking is enhanced by the freshness and quality of the ingredients used.  We grow a lot of things in our own Victorian Walled Garden such as soft and hard fruits, a large variety of herbs and carefully selected vegetables; all tended by Cringletie’s gardener.

Our philosophy is to bring to your table the very best of modern cuisine, prepared with Scottish produce and dishes with real flavour for you to enjoy in a spectacular setting.

Available daily is our seven course tasting menu, a sublime feast of some of the best cooking in the Scottish Borders.

On Sundays, this favourite Peebles restaurant is also open for our popular, traditional lunch. Again, this is open to non-residents as well as those staying in the hotel.
