Pigeon and beetroot; two signature dishes

Award-winning hotel restaurant near Peebles

Scotland is famous for the quality of its produce - beef, venison, seafood, raspberries, whisky, and many more things besides.

The two rosette Sutherland Restaurant at Cringletie is a well known hotel restaurant near Peebles, inspired by the excellence and abundance of that local Scottish produce. With native Scottish flair, Cringletie's Head Chef Craig Gibb and his award-winning kitchen team create dishes reflecting high-quality, contemporary Scottish cuisine that changes with the seasons.

We also cater for children with a separate Children's Menu.

Every stay at Cringletie House is punctuated with a series of wonderful meals or snacks. You could start with a full Scottish breakfast or perhaps a lighter continental version. You could break up your morning with a coffee and some rich, crumbling shortbread in the Library. Or save yourself for a light lunch in the Conservatory.

Many visitors to Peebles and the Scottish Border Region will include Cringletie in their itinerary - enjoying a light lunch, one of our famous afternoon teas or perhaps a gourmet treat with dinner in our Sutherland Restaurant.

A walk in our grounds could work up an appetite for a full afternoon tea. And finally, you could round off a splendid day by dining in the Sutherland Room with its exquisite, hand-painted trompe l'oeil ceiling - choosing from our à la carte menu or the full seven-course tasting menu.
