Peebles golf course
Peebles is an upland golf course of great character. The air is clean and the surrounding hills provide something of a micro-climate. Of course it sometimes rains and in spring and autumn there are occasional windy days but we get many days of glorious summer sunshine. Bring a sweater and your rain-gear just in case. It is all part of the challenge of golfing in Scotland. Peebles offers an excellent challenge for all golfers - the tough opening holes are balanced by a more generous stretch where the eighth and ninth lead you back down the hill towards the clubhouse.
West Linton Course
The course staff welcome all golfers to a course where our heraldic motto, "Cherish the Good Turf" sums up the facility we aim to provide. We work with nature and the wonderful setting in which our club is located.
All our facilities are at your disposal on the day of your visit including the restaurant, the TV lounge, the changing facilities, visitors’ lockers, any one of the three practice areas, the putting green and the driving net. Pull trolleys and buggies are available for hire also. Please contact our secretary if you have any special requirements prior to your visit.
In the height of summer the rough is deep and punishing and should be avoided. The fairways are, however, generous and a shorter, accurate shot from the tee will generally provide you with the best opportunity to hit the greens in regulation. The greens play hard and fast for most of the year and a traditional 'bump and run' links style shot can be played in to great effect.
