Included in the offer is also an Historic Scotland Explorer pass which gives free access to all their properties, such as Edinburgh Castle, Melrose Abbey etc. Edinburgh gives also plenty of scope for museums, shopping and simply walking to take in the beautiful architecture of this magnificent city.
A hamper with a nice country lunch is included for your “country day”. Should you decide to go hill walking, then we can arrange to deliver the hamper at a pre-arranged spot.
The Tweed Valley is a paradise for walkers: hill walking on the Meldons or one of the many Tweed walks. The climb to Loch Sheen overlooking Grey Mare’s Tail Waterfall is a challenge! The hike to and over the Eildon Hills is another spectacular walk. Mountain biking in Glentress Forest is something out of the ordinary.
