Although our in house travel desk can certainly supply you with suggestions, leaflets etc on what to see and do in the area, you also may want to contact some tourist information centres.  Here are their web addresses:

www.visitscotland.com – the national Scottish Tourist Board.  This is the national organisation for tourism.  They look after the whole of Scotland. 

To get more detail, you may want to visit the regional tourist board www.visitscottishborders.com.  This organisation deals with the Borders area only and has a lot more information on the area than the national tourist board. 

To go into even more detail, why not visit www.visittweeddale.com an almost local group of tourism orientated businesses in the area of the River Tweed.  Find out about things to do, where to stay and where to eat in this very interesting part of the Scottish Borders.  You will be pleasantly surprised!
