Private Chauffeur

To make the most of your stay at Cringletie, we can recommend you the services of WL Sleigh Ltd in Edinburgh.  Their luxury cars and limousines will take you to the "must see" tourist attractions but also to some of the more "off the beaten tracks" destinations and anything else you want to add to the itinerary.  Those services should be arranged well in advance of your arrival.  Please click here for details about this trusted company or email them.

We can also whole heartedly recommend you the services of Green Lyne in West Linton.  Iain Simpson has a great knowledge of the local area and he too can take you anywhere you want (of course within reason!)!  Green Lyne is also very popular and therefore, advanced planning is adviseable.  Details about this company may be found here.

If you would rather leave us do the "foot work", we will be more than happy to do so.

Tours

If you would rather "go as you please", then we can offer some scenic routes, cycle routes or hiking routes.  For your comfort and enjoyment, we can provide you with a wonderful picnic hamper for your well deserved lunch!

Abbeys

Let your own tour take you to the Abbeys in Melrose, Jedburgh and Dryburgh.  Historic Scotland offers Borders Explorer passes.  However, if you also want to include a visit to Edinburgh in your itinerary, then we would advise the normal Historic Scotland Explorer pass.  We can arrange for you whatever you pass you would like.

Botanic Gardens

What about a visit to Dawyck Botanic Gardens or Kailzie Gardens with the Osprey Watch and Trout pond?

Cashmere

Hawyck can give you insight in how the world famous cashmere jumpers and other items are made and in the Lochcarron Mill in Galashiels you may see a range of Scottish tartans being made, amongst which the special tartan created in the memory of Diana, Princess of Wales.
