Adventures in Nature
Immerse yourself in nature with wild swim adventures, guided walks and nature connection experiences in the beautiful Tweed Valley.
We craft bespoke private adventures in nature on the land and in the water, led by a fully qualified and insured local guide on her home patch. Come and swim in our waters, walk to the top of a hill for amazing views, saunter along the river, or have some restorative time in nature, Tweed Valley Wilding can guide you.
We offer half and whole day private adventures for up to 8 people.
Wild swimming
Whether you want to try wild swimming for the very first time or are an experienced dipper looking for a new adventure, we can find a spot that will suit. The River Tweed and her tributaries provide hidden dipping pools, idyllic river spots and dramatically situated reservoirs for wild swimming. You will be guided by a local on her home patch to dip safely in our deliciously clean, cold waters. And it's not just about the swimming, there is always time to sit, relax and soak up the landscape and share a homemade 'shivery bite' and Kelly Kettle tea.
Guided Walks
Would you like to head out for a walk without effort of route finding and the worry of getting lost? You could come for a quiet wander along the River Tweed, an exploration into the Tweed Valley's lesser visited locations with ruined castles and standing stones or a bracing walk with expansive views from the summits, the Upper Tweed has it all. This is the land of golden eagles, osprey, pine martins and otters, who knows what we might see on the way.
Nature Connection
Gift yourself some restorative time in nature. We can put together a gentle adventure in nature in the Tweed Valley and explore more closely what is right under your feet. You could learn to light a fire, make string from nettle fibre, hang in a hammock between the trees and listen to the birds, forage plants for a wild tea made over a fire with a Kelly Kettle. Let being outdoors help you slow down, connect and find more balance.
