Welcome to the restaurant at Cringletie, where the team are here to ensure you have an exceptional experience.

The seasonal menu reflects all things good throughout the Scottish Borders and we are proud to work with local suppliers whose passion is to produce quality produce.

Our own garden is a source whenever possible of our herbs, fruit and of course vegetables; we are fortunate to have the walled garden (originally created back in 1661) in which we are able to grow as many items as possible that feature within the menu.

Border producers and products are always at the forefront of what we wish to serve, such as Braehead (Selkirk) for some meat, Tweed Valley (Peebles) for game, Forsyth’s (Peebles) for rolls, fish from Eyemouth, Clarks (Penicuik) for cheese along with speciality suppliers for those extra accompaniments.

Not only is food sourced as locally as possible, but also top quality wines from Villeneuve wines in Peebles plus beers from Broughton Brewery & Traquair, even a cider from Scotland.

Whatever you choose, we wish you a fine meal in a contributory atmosphere.

Our beef is born and reared in the Scottish Borders; has the highest endorsements for flavor and tenderness and is dry aged for a minimum of 28 days.

This is almost a cult wine with its wonderfully evocative rose–like aromas and elegant yet concentrated lychee fruit on the palate. Very good with cheese, chocolate and red fruits.
Muscat Beaumes de Venise (375ML)
Domaine De Coyeux, France

This delicious Muscat delivers barley sugar, grapey, honeyed touches of mint and orange blossom on the nose with a lush yet clean, mouth-filling length.
Noble Late Harvest Semillon (375ML)
Nelson Estate, South Africa

From 100% ‘late-picked’ Semillon grapes. Bright gold in colour, the nose shows apricot, peach and hints of pineapple with delicate honey flavours. The palate is smooth and richly textured with a crisp acidity that keeps the wine fresh and balanced.
Mrs Wigley Moscato (500ml), Australia
Mrs Wigley (1977-1991) was not the wife of Wirra Wirra founder Bob Wigley but a particular pussycat, which had settled and become a permanent feature of the cellars. This cheeky Moscato is beautifully crafted and designed to be enjoyed at any time. Sweet fruit sherbits is the signature of this wine.
