Sunday Lunch - a great British tradition!
Recently launched, the Sunday Lunch menu has been devised by Head Chef Iain Gourlay, offering a wonderful array of locally sourced produce, including beef from the Tweed Valley.
A three course menu with a choice of starters, a selection of roast meats – all carved at the table by chefs – served with honey roasted root vegetables, crispy goose fat potatoes and summer greens. Vegetarian and vegan options are available.
Choose from a trio of indulgent desserts or a selection of Scottish and international cheeses is also available at an additional charge, served with homemade chutney, honey, grapes and artisan crackers.
Priced at £35 per person with a £7.50 supplement for cheese.
Dinner is served nightly from 6.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. in The Sutherland Restaurant; reservations are recommended.
Menus are seasonal and offer high-quality unpretentious dishes. Expect a relaxed and enjoyable experience with a fine-dining feel, sensibly sized portions and beautifully presented dishes.
On Sunday nights you can indulge in a seven-course tasting menu with matching wines and drinks. This starts at 7.00 p.m. and the restaurant manager presents each course, in turn, highlighting the ingredients used in each dish. The matched drinks are also explained and why they have been paired.
Children are welcome to dine in the restaurant; high chairs are available and we offer Huggies Friends – a children’s menu. Of course, children are also welcome to make their choices from dinner menus.
The Scottish Borders have a wide and fantastic range of food which we try to incorporate in all menus and, where possible, we utilize ingredients from our own Walled Garden and across the estate. We believe a combination of local and international ingredients create dishes that not only look good and taste delicious but will also satisfy the discerning palate.
Three courses, including tea/coffee with petit fours is £55 per person.
Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are always available on our menus.
